5G Authentication and Key Management: 5G-AKA

With the help of AKA procedure secure communication in any cellular network can be achieved. AKA stands for Authentication and Key Management procedure which involve mutual authentication between 5G Devices and the network and derive crypto keys to protect the User- and Control-plane data.

• With Software Version 9.8 Spectra2 5G Core Network Toolkit now supports 5G AKA Authentication. This protocol intelligence generates keys using the 5G key derivation function (KDF) and updates messages automatically.
